There’s something extra special about getting to document a wedding in your hometown—and Maddie & Thomas’ day at Majestic at Whiskey Run was exactly that.

Every part of their day took place on the grounds of the venue—from getting ready in the charming prep spaces to golden hour portraits in the fields, and dancing the night away under warm lights inside the barn.

I had the joy of capturing both photo and video for Maddie & Thomas, which let me really immerse myself in their story and the vibe of the day. Their connection was so natural, and the energy from their crew was full-on joy from start to finish. We got to know each other a bunch during the planning process, and actually all went to a HIIT workout together, although I never went back. 😅

This was one of those weddings where the in-between moments hit just as hard as the big ones. The way Thomas looked at Maddie during the processional. The laughter during speeches. The way the wind caught her veil during portraits. And the dance floor? Absolutely lit.

Being able to document love stories in a place I know so well—and for a couple as kind and grounded as these two—reminds me why I do what I do. Maddie & Thomas, thank you for letting me be part of it all. It was truly an honor.
